Hideki Tojo
Hideki Tojo was the prime minister of Japan during most of Japan’s involvement in World War II. He was one of the most aggressive of Japan’s military leaders. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Tojo led the Japanese army throughout Southeast Asia and the western Pacific region, scoring multiple victories. However, because he could not prevent the Allied invasion of the Mariana islands, his entire cabinet resigned and his military position was removed. After Japan’s surrender, he was tried and executed for his military war crimes.
